Not a US kit with the flag swapped. The forms, the formulas and the wording were rebuilt for Canadian home child care.
One receipt per child for parents' line 21400 claims: who paid, the child, the amount, the period of care, your name and address, a SIN line, signature and date. Print-and-fill in the forms, or filled in for you by the workbook.
Every payment has a care month, so advance payments and last year's balances land in the right year. The Dashboard reconciles cash received with earned income, including amounts owed at Dec 31.
Floor area (sq ft or m²) × hours used, with rooms used only for child care counted separately. It applies the rule that these costs can't create or increase a loss, and carries the rest forward.
Log trips in kilometres. Business km ÷ total km is applied to your actual vehicle costs for T2125 line 9281.
Parent fees, government or agency funding ($10-a-day / CWELCC, fee subsidies, grants) and other income are recorded separately. Funding counts as income but stays off parents' receipts.
Food and supplies (line 8811) and every other receipt sorted by T2125 line, with CRA sources cited in the cell notes. Home costs are multiplied by your home-use %.
Province/Territory and Postal Code, fever in °C, health card fields, Interac e-Transfer and cheque, Canadian holidays and spelling (enrolment, behaviour, cheque, licence).
Pick Quebec in Settings and an RL-24 reminder appears. The receipts page notes that Revenu Québec's credit has its own rules. The kits don't create RL-24 slips.
Included · also sold separately for CA$29
One workbook for the tax year, in CAD. You type into the yellow cells, and the formulas do the rest.

Yes. It's written for home child care providers in Canada: provinces and territories, CAD, kilometres, °C, Canadian spelling and CRA rules. If you're in the US, see the US edition instead.
They're a starting point. Child care rules differ by province and territory (and by licensing agency or home child care agency), so compare each section with your provincial/territorial regulations and adjust the [BRACKETED] items before you use them.
They include every item CRA lists for child care receipts: who paid, the child's name, the amount, the period of care, your name and address, your SIN (required if you're an individual), your signature and the date. There is one child per receipt, for parents' line 21400 claims.
No. It organizes your records and gives planning estimates for you and your accountant. It does not calculate CCA (capital cost allowance), CPP contributions or income tax, and it doesn't build in CWELCC or subsidy program rules; it records what you receive. It's general information, not tax advice.
The forms can be edited for Quebec (they're in English), and the workbook's federal (CRA) side applies across Canada. Quebec's provincial credit for childcare expenses has its own rules, and some providers must issue RL-24 slips through Revenu Québec. The kits remind you of this, but they don't create RL-24 slips.
No. Every file is a standard .docx or .xlsx file, so it opens in the free Google Docs and Google Sheets. A one-page Google Sheets guide comes with the workbook.
